Tucked into a peaceful stretch just off the River Bure, Silver Birches is a light-filled bungalow made for slowing down. Fling open the patio doors, take your coffee onto the deck, and watch the boats drift past. Herons stalk the far bank, willows trail in the current, and the whole magical maze of the Norfolk Broads sits waiting at the end of your garden.
It is cosy, characterful, and genuinely peaceful — all on one level, freshly kept, and dog friendly. The kind of place guests come back to year after year.

Silver Birches sits in Horning — one of the prettiest villages on the Broads, strung along the River Bure with thatched cottages, boatyards, and a trio of much-loved riverside pubs. It's the perfect launch point for exploring the 125 miles of lock-free waterways that make up Britain's largest protected wetland.
Hire a day boat, glide out to Ranworth or Salhouse Broad, spot herons, kingfishers, and marsh harriers, or simply amble to the pub for lunch. Wroxham — "capital of the Broads" — and the cathedral city of Norwich are both an easy drive away.
"Cosy and clean, beds were comfy. Cheeky ducks, a heron and woodpigeons made us laugh. Caught enough fish to be happy too — would highly recommend."
"Had a fantastic time — very clean and had everything you need. The wildlife was amazing; a heron came every day and ate out of my hand. Returning next year!"
"Great position for a very relaxing stay, and very well equipped for all your needs."
"Tranquil location with lots of wildlife, a fully equipped kitchen and lovely patio doors onto the river. Comfy furnishings — we would return."
